Overview

This program is designed to raise prize money for exhibitors at Sport Horse Nationals, as well as rewarding the top sires. Payback will be 100% payout. Here is how it works:

All foals sired by these stallions will be eligible to win the money. Horses not sired by these stallions are not eligible for the prize money. All foals sired by the donated stallions are eligible of any age.
In order to donate a breeding, the stallion must have won a Class A Championship 0r Reserve, Regional Top Five or better, or a National Top Ten or better-not necessarily in a sport horse discipline. The stallion is also eligible if he has sired a foal with any of the above listed wins. If the stallion is non-Arabian OR shown at open shows, then he must have won a class or championship at an A rated show (i.e. dressage, H/J, driving, In-Hand) or in an approved Event OR one of their offspring needs a similar accomplishment.
The top two sires from each SHNs will receive 5% each of the total prize money available. All classes will count.
The Champion and Reserve Champion of the designated classes will win prize money. The Payback classes will include both Purebred and HA/AA classes in all disciplines. If the Champion and Reserve are NOT eligible horses, the Top Ten horse(s) will receive the Payback. Any unclaimed prize money from a particular class will be divided equally among eligible horses that go Top Ten or better in that class.
All get of donated stallions will be eligible to win the prize money throughout their life. If the stallion withdraws from the program (by not re-donating each year), then any subsequent foals will be ineligible.
BENEFITS OF THE PAYBACK PROGRAM
The top two stallions earn a payback and recognition for their superior quality as a sire.
Mare owners have access to top stallions at 50% of their stud fee.
Stallion owners have an equal opportunity to earn payback regardless of their breed. In other words, the payback is not limited to Arabian sires.
SHNs exhibitors have the opportunity to win money in various classes that are currently not funded.
Breeders have a higher marketability for their foals (of any age) sired by donated stallions as they are eligible for payback at SHNs.
No out-of-pocket expense for stallion owners as there is no "nomination" but simply a donation of stud service.
No mare nominations, and no waiting for foals to mature to start winning. If you buy a mature foal of a donated stallion, it is eligible to win prize money.
Increased incentive to register Arabian bred foals that normally do not show at Arabian shows so may not have been registered in the past. Now they are able to win money by competing at SHNs.
Increased entries at SHNs by exhibitors vying for prize money.
